Uniden EXP 970 900 MHz Analog Cordless Phone (White) Description


A basic phone without a lot of frills, the EXP 970 won't drain the pocketbook but provides the basic features you need. It utilizes the 900 MHz band and employs tried-and-true analog technology with autoscan, which automatically selects the best available channel. Handset-to-handset call transfer (if you have two units) allows you to route an incoming call to the other handset, while a page/handset locator provides a quick and easy way to locate a misplaced phone. Switchable tone and pulse dialing modes are provided should you need one or the other, while handset and ringer controls allow you to adjust the phones volume settings to your liking. With the memory dial feature, you can store up to 10 numbers, and a one touch RocketDial button lets you quickly dial the most frequently used or most important number. The redial button provides a quick way to dial the last outgoing number, while a low battery indicator lets you know when to return the handset to its charging cradle. The EXP 970 is hearing aid and headset compatible.

I think that I have every battery charger every produced for the iphone. This was appealing to me because of the size as advertised and in fact, it is pretty small. But I did think that it would be a bit smaller than it appears in the pictures. Fine for leaving in your pocket but I would not put it on a keychain. The amount of charge that I get is about what I would have expected knowing that 700mAH is not a lot, but is usually more than enough for what I need. Mophie makes good products and this one is also. Just don't expect too much (or in this case, too little).

I needed a scanner that would scan UPC codes and UPS/USPS mailing barcodes. This scanner works perfectly. Microsoft Windows recognized the scanner immediately. You need to configure the scanner (by scanning parts of teh supplied manual) before the scanner works. I accidentially thought mine was defective at first. This thing works like a charm.

I got my George Foreman Grill on sale. I had heard that it was one of the most common items found in garage sales, which implies that it isn't very good. But it was very cheap, and I wanted something to grill the rare hamburgers it is so difficult to find in a restaurant. I was willing to risk a small amount of dough to try it.

Imagine my surprise when I found it to be the absolute best thing for its purpose. Easy to use, easy to clean, durable, stayed nice looking after 6 months of heavy use. I thought the included sponge and spatula were a gimmick, but turns out they have worked well for cleaning and using the grill. Don't rely on the flexible spatula to turn anything heavy, but for a 6oz ground-chuck-burger it works well.

My cleaning method is not for everyone, but hey -- I am a man and this is in my office building. I let my dogs "pre-clean" and then I hit it with mild soap and water. I have been using it 3 times a week for 6 months and the surface is nearly like new.

We looked at them all. We read the reviews. We thought it would be nice to put the inserts in the dishwasher, but some people said those units didn't heat as well. We were ready to spend more money for a fancier unit. We finally decided on this one. It's big enough for the two of us. It works like a champ. We have had sausage patties, steaks, pork chops, hamburgers. All were done to our taste in minutes with minimal fat and great taste. We couldn't be more satisfied.

When I got this I was unsure about it, but now that I've tried it I'm hooked. As someone that has always had questionable cooking skills, in the past I didn't cook much. Having lived mostly on prepared meals. Now with this I can cook, and well. I can make perfectly cooked steaks, hamburgers and chicken. Just thaw the meat, put a little seasoning on it and cook. Plus clean up is a snap, takes less time to clean the grill than it does to wash my plates. And it's great for someone like me who lives alone. Perfect for one person. Would totally recommend this to anyone else.

My father bought 3 of these cameras in April 2004 and only one works periodically. They eat batteries as do all digital cameras so make sure you have plenty on hand if you don't buy rechargable batteries. The cameras all worked so awesome for the first few months. I used mine the most and it was the first to die. The pictures start coming out blurry and then sometimes the camera would turn on and then shut off or would not come on at all. I lost the screen on the top first and then the lcd screen went wacky. I have pictures of my newborn stuck in the camera and am unable to retrieve them. If you want to spend $100.00-$189.00 on a throw away digital camera then this one is for you!!!

This was my second digital camera, and overall I have been happy with it. I did have one problem with it -- not quite three months after I bought it, it suddenly stopped working. Since it was still under warranty, I contacted the company. They exchanged it promptly for a new camera, which has worked fine ever since. That was about three years ago.

The picture quality is very good; I've had a number of photos printed at up to 8" x 10", and people who have seen them are amazed that they came from a digital rather than a film camera (and a 3 megapixel one, at that).

My biggest complaint about the camera is its speed. The shutter lag (the time between the time you press the button and the time the picture is recorded) is significant, as is the processing time between shots. Also, because the lens has to extend every time the camera is turned on, it takes a long time before it's ready for the first shot. The motor that extends the lens is also noisy.

It's also a bit of a battery hog. I had four sets of rechargables that I used to carry along, just to make sure I wouldn't run short of power at a critical moment.

Overall, though, I was very satisfied with this camera, and still use it on occasion.

Boy what a turnaround from my prev posting...The camera stopped working intermittantly...will not focus no how and take a picture...flash goes off..but nothing in the LCD or memory as a picture being taken. Turn it on and off a bunch of times and it will work....then next time you use the camera..it may or may not work until you turn it on and off again a bunch of times..and the battery signal meter is useless..it will show full strength and all of a sudden camera goes dead...needs more batteries. and the worst part of all is Vivitars customer service..or lack of..I called them 4 times...and its not a toll free #..and after 4 weeks..still no response..and I challenge anyone to find a way to email that co from their website..try it. after wasting an hour on it it tells you to sign up for this cumbersome EBOX system where someone will get back to you...same thing..after 4 weeks..no message from anyone..and they had the nerve to send me an automated email today saying my request was closed... CLOSED?? I never even got a response...trust me..stay away from this company..if you get lucky and get an ok camera..good for you..but pray you have no problems wiht it or you will experience their lack of customer service.

I bought this item back in June of 2010. It was shipped quickly and had pretty solid design and decent workmanship compared to other really lousy items available on the market. It has a nice switch on/off button, does not heat up too much compared to other Made in China junk units. Definitely better quality than most items you can buy. I almost got to love this ac adapter, but now after 8 months of use it suddenly died. Just does not charge the battery anymore. Not sure what could have caused it as I was in the middle of web browsing and my E1505 Dell Inspirion suddenly switched to battery power. Will be looking for some other better quality adapter. But if don't find anything better will buy this one. I guess with the globalized outsourced manufacturing we are now expected to spend $25 every half year on buying AC adapters. Gone are the days of high quality products.

This was purchased as a replacement to power a Dell E1505. Worked in that it provided power to said laptop. It does not serve well as a charger as the laptop usually complained about it not being a recognized adapter. This device lasted a little over a year before the cord cracked and became practically useless. Overall a decent value given the alternatives, which also seem to be similar in nature and often more expensive.

For larger, Costco sized blocks of Cheddar cheese, this knife fails to deliver even slices. Reason being is that the knife will flex and your cut will be influenced by the cheese, especially if it's been aged for some time. The result? Uneven but very edible pieces of cheese. This is not a precision instrument - it should be made out of a fiber-glass like polymer instead. I will probably be replacing it sometimes soon - it's not a priority since it works fine under most circumstances now. This item should have been half the cost - I may contact the manufacturer about this flaw.
